my oil temp gauge hasn't seen anything over 215*F..so your water temp shouldn't be higher than that. stock thermostat should be at around 180 or so on the temp gauge. but my friends S14 KA had some thermostat or something goin gon and his gauges (stock and aftermarket) wouldn't go over 100 or so..idk if something was messed up or what but it ran cool!

its a little high for me if it stays at that all the time, as it should flucuate between that and 180 or below, since that thermostat would be opening and closing. but as long as it never gets past 210*F you shouldn't be too worried.

Stock thermostat is 190*. I run a 180*, with electric fans and a stock radiator (used to run a Koyo R1276). I never see more than 190*. I am swapping in a CXRacing radiator in this weekend in hopes of stable temps in Dallas traffic come June.

i have the Skyline CXRacing Radiator and it never goes over half the stock temp gauge unless it sits and i rev it for a bit without the fan on..when driving i rarely ever have to use the fan to keep it cool.

My Autometer oil temp gauge seems to live over 180degF, even on the freeway.I'm thinking I need a better radiator. But my CAs in a small engine bay.

That is anywhere from ~180* to ~220*. That thing is basically a 3 way switch.

Dead on 190 degrees with a permacool 14" 2950CFM fan on the stock radiator. It doesn't even try and go up from there, even if I'm sitting in standstill traffic in 100 degree heat. Of course, I have no PS or AC or anything to put a strain on the motor.

I usually run straight water. Blah blah corroding the iron block I don't care.

My sensor is spliced into the top radiator hose with one of those Autometer things. I tend to sit around 76-78*C during regular driving. Whatever that means for you Imperials :P

editing my repost..

It's very interesting to hear the temperatures people are seeing.I'm not sure for mine whether the radiator is blocked, or something in the block is clogged. I'll have to look into it the next chance I get.

only the weak need P/S but i think i may have messed my rack up by having coolant seep into the p/s line fittings.. it squeaks alot now
