What tail lights should I get

k. I dont want to go stock because I hate the stock tail lights. They do not look good with the gold. I dont want to retint the stock tails because that's too much money to me. I don't want to use niteshades but want to get them professionally tinted because it comes out too dark and it will drip for me lol.Im either thinking of going with 1 or 2 black altezza.

Then why even bother frikkin asking us, if our opinions dont matter and ur gonna go with the choice most people are hating the most?

Altezza lights belong on altezzas, that poor QX4 is gonna look like Sh8t with them, trust me i know things.

Furthermore its ur moms QX4 why the heck would you want to put Altezza tails on it anyway?Just go back to stock or STFU and never ask us about the tails again.

P.S If/when you put the Altezza lights on, please dont make the "How do they look?" thread, cuz the answer is "sh8tty"

Every single one of those aftermarket housings looks like s***. They're all horrible. I wouldn't put one of those in the same county as my car. Nothing screams "I know nothing about cars" like a set of generic "altezza" tail lights.

Agreed. I hate clear lenses and I'm glad manufacturers are FINALLY getting away from them. Seeing clear lenses on everything stock for 4 or 5 years was horrible. It looked like every car had made a trip to autozone for the cheapest lights in the store.

here's what you do. get the stock tail lights. bake them to remove the lenses. mask the entire outside surface. take your night shades and lightly spray one coat on the inside of the lenses. let it dry. inspect for desired shade. add second coat if desired. rushing and going overboard is what causes s***ty results.

That's going to be a lot of money lol. Hmm that is a good idea with spraying inside. What benefits does that have over the outside though? If I take them apart then that means I can do an LED retrofit as well using these. BTW, the black altezzas look like the explorer ones.

the benefit is that you don't have to deal with them being dull and you won't have to clear coat them.

Ozzie pretty much summed it up. You seem to think cheezy aftermarket tail lights on a QX-4 makes it look better. The overwhelming majority here think nice simple stock ones look better. Your move.

Keep it stock...but...if you really don't want to do that. Then the only other thing I would suggest is to retint them but not as dark. It's your car, do want you want, but obviously the general consensus here is to keep them stock.

The factory housings are sonically welded and you would need to cut the lens from the housing to do an LED retro-fit. I am personally a fan of tinting the stock housings. You should just get a stage 2 tint done and leave the clear sections. I have yet to be pulled over for my tints and I haven't had any close calls. A stage 2 tint will still make the lamps really visible during the day and almost no different at night. You could always get a color match tint, but I'm not sure that would look too good in that gold color.

Also, get rid of the INFINITI sticker over the center high mounted brake light, it's retarded.
