What I mean is are there any parts you can just place a new bushing and reuse.

My understanding is with stock upperlinks you must replace the whole unit. However with the 300ZX you can replace the bushings only.

I'm willing to buy 300ZX if I can only just replace the bushing next time.

What about the Tierods?

Can you reuse the stock tierods with some new bushings or is a replacement in order?

Now the Struts.I'm gonna order rebuilt rear strut towers for the rear of the active Q from Texasoil next week (rears leaking).

All the rubber is cracked onthe boots all the way around. Also the bound bumper on the front is trashed (Driving on flat accumulators)I will be doing all the boots and bumpers @ once.

I want to get the other installation parts from Joe ordered soon.

I need 4 Bound Bumpers (1 each strut)I need 4 Dust boots (1 each strut)I need 4 Accumulator to Tower Seals (1 each strut)

Will I need a set of strut moun bushings? If so should I do all 4?Only the rear towers are leaking thats why there are getting replaced.

Is there anything I missed?

Thanks guys.

You can buy NISMO bushings for the upper links. They are hard rubber. 300zx has the EXACT same upper links - same part number. The bushings that you are referring to are the same as Q, so just order them and have them pressed in.

Tierods don't have bushings, they have balljoints on the ends.

You can get the dust boots from NAPA autoparts for about $10 less than Joe's price, and they are made by the same company as OEM.

Are your strut mounts loose or rattling? If not, don't bother.

Thanks I ment 300zx Adjustable Uppers.

So I can have my current uppers pressed with new bushings?

I saw in other posts people have pressed there tention rods.

Just wasn't sure about the uppers.

I will check out the strut bushings.

She was on flat accumulators for 10,000 miles.(3000 were mine)

Thanks for the help.

The OEM upper links do not have pressed-in bushings. You would have to burn/cut them out and replace with aftermarket. Are you only working on the fronts? Rears have a lot going on as well. Link bushings are not replaceable per OEM design--buy new links. Same for lower arm ball joint. Knuckle bushings and ball joints are replaceable. But I'm only familiar with non-active suspension, so there could be differences.

Yes, I should clarify that only NISMO bushings are available for the upper links. Stock ones are not available separately. And the Nismo bushings (all eight) cost as much as a pair of new arms. Same for rear arms.

As for lower ball joint, for some reason Nissan sells the 300zx one separately but not the Q. Wierd, since they are essentially the same part.
