I just picked up a set of apexi N1 coils. What suspension parts should i be considering next. I was thinking RUCA but are they needed yet. I would like to slam the car and buy the right suspension parts to reinforce the weak point and correct the camber issues or other aliment problems caused by lowering it.

i have a gutted s13 i drive/drift on the weekend

I'm not new to cars just this chassis thanks for the info

You will need camber plates for the front if the coils didn't come with them. Also some adjustable tie rods will be good for the front if you're going to slam it. Mine is moderately lowered and the passenger tie rod is already starting to pop.

Front roll center adjusters, t/c rods, tie rods, RUCAs and toe links. I like leaving the rear trailing links with poly bushings to soak up some of the shock in the rear suspension without too much compromise. If you slam the hell out of it all retarded ricer dorifto style, then you need to look into LCAs.

Strut bars? Not really related to ride height but a good idea nonetheless especailly if you're tracking your 240.

There's no next. Just be patient, collect parts and install everything together. It'll be nice if you can install everything at once.

If you want real info from me, take it.If you want info from people who ASSUME, listen to the other guys.

I had my s14 as a daily driver for years. It was low as heck. It was much lower than most of these dorks. Drifted it often at the track. drove there and home, so it had to be reliable.

You got coilovers. check.Definitly get rear upper control arms, toe links, tension rods, and I'd say get a set of Tein tie rods and ends.

Don't bother with roll center adjusters/ lower control arms/ adjustable tie rod ends. NONE of that is needed. I always used stock lower control arms and Tein tie rods. don't get the Pillow ball style tie rod ends FOR SURE. they break.Tower bars are cool.bigger stabilizer bars are cool too

so...no pillowball tie rod ends.

so no SPL?

did you never have any issues with binding steering due to the angle of the tie rods?

Brian ive only been on this forum a little while and u seem to be the go to guy about drift related info.

I lurked on here for awhile but never posted until my friend finally talked me into getting a 240. He has a couple of drift FC's and i wish i had his driving skills, (kids entry speeds are sick) at least to me.

I feel like such a cheese ball just now actually getting into drifting, ive always enjoyed watching old D1, option, and BMI videos so i guess better late than never.

I'll shut up now THANKS 4 the info. i'm sure i'll have some other noob questions for ya.

hmm, brian brian, i got a question

my s13 has literally almost full aftermarket suspension.

megan arms in the back (all 3) coils, for the front, i put a nismo powerbrace, spl tensions and ..

sh1t i forgot the name, but adjustable tie rods, and adjustable pillow ball tie rod ends.

basicly the cars sitting with every wheel different lol

what should i do and say to get a wheel alignment? or should i go to a tuner shop

also, did i make a mistake buying pillow ball ends? car is going to be street and drift. i love the angle it gives its sick, but do they really break easily?

I REALLY don't see why anybody gets the pilo ball tie rod ends. I know of many friends who have them break, so I never got them. I stuck with the Tein ones. Angle is fine. NEVER had a problem.

You definitly should get a real alignment from (hopefully) a race shop of some kind.Regular alignment guys might not want to touch the aftermarket stuff...

well on my black coupe (in sig) i had like, 3 inches of ground clearance from my unibody "frame rails"

there were a handful of times that my steering seemed to lock for a minute which i think mightve been from the super angle up.

continue to inform me
