i don't think they make the w6v2's in a 15" size... besides i wouldn't go with JL, too mainstream :P the Resonant Engineering XXX series is pretty sweet too, i was lookin at those before... wow looks good in winISD too, about the same as the Brahma in terms of flat SPL response levels... i guess it will just have to come down to the price in between the two... but does anyone know first hand how the REXXX's compare to the Brahmas in terms of SQ?

haha... i call BS! JL makes some nice subs, i have to admit their W6's and the W7's are pretty sweet subs, but i mean they don't make any beefy 15's that can take 2000W+ burps... they should make a big one... like these:

the subs on the left and right are Beyond Audio PSI 18's...don't really know how much they weigh but they and can handle somethin like 20,000W burps :pface those are the 1st generation ones though, the second gens weighed 120 lbs and had like quad motor structures or somethin stupid like that... the middle sub is a Beyond Audio Inhuman 18" with quad coils and 300oz magnet... none of the PSI's got released to public though, part of it was cause they were deemed illegal by IASCA :pface

Just givin ya'll crap. :D

"Back in my day", the JL's were winning more than the others. Of course, times change. I've always liked the W6's (as I have a 10yo 12w6 in the car now), but never really cared much for their other lines....

Those are some stout looking subz. Definately more than I need....

so can my new woofers....the orion h2...so sick so sick...new alternator was needed but...so sick. cheaper than the brahma, xxx,w7, and the stereo integrity magnum (awesome sub). i think it may be impossible to overpower these subs. i know a few people pushing upwards of 5000 watts to 2 daily driving(but most of those people are sponsered by orion....)

damn i love ORIONS! i had an 12" Orion HCCA Class and it kicked *** until i sold it for my DD... the DD is pretty sweet though, but i just haven't heard it in a properly tuned box...

that orion is a damn sweet sub, don't think it'll work too well with my enclosure... Orion recommends 2.5 cu.ft with 33hz tune for vented enclosure... my box is gonna be close to 5 cubes :pface and i don't think you can find any of these subs even close to being cheaper than a Brahma ($440 US listed on Adire's website)... thanks for the suggestion though :D

http://www.cbrstereo.com booh ya. i bought more than my car can take so i sold a few off for a bit more than i paid ;). didn't even get it from that site I priced matched it to another site so i got free shipping. that sub absolutely pounds and your right it needs a small box. works for me. once i get another 1200.1 i may do some db drag....again. Did the brahma price go up? If so its almost the most expensive for the crappiest of the "super subs"(not due to performance due to the dustcap has some mishaps and some glue issues). the SI d2 is 350 for a 15. the XXX is 400 forgot what size. the W7 ... i don't like it to much $$ when better or subs as good as can be had for the same price. the id max 12 is 300 i think. errr...running out of subs.

crazy prices on that site man...that orion looks way more appealing to me know :pface i plugged it into winISD and it seems like it would work ok in my box... does anyone know how to really use winISD? i mean i can use it but i don't know what half the numbers mean... like i know that -3db is the roll off point but what happens when you got like positive 6db in some places?

oh and the SI Magnum only "handles" 650W RMS, although i'm sure that's a conservative rating but the other subs i'm lookin at all have over 1200W RMS rating...

conservative isn't the word.... there are people running hifonics bx1500d's on that thing(d-2) so if your running like a jbl 1200.1 (no subsonic filter look out!) don't worry about it just watch the gain. I'm not going to read the post again, lazy, but if you want spl it's really only 2 subs to look at, the h2 and the XXX. Sq all the subs are pretty much in the same level imo.

well i'm not plannin on merely runnin 1500W... more like 2200W+... an MMATS D300HC modded to be stable down to 1 ohm... at 2 ohms it does 1700W, but when modded it's been benched to do over 2200W RMS... i'll look into the XXX though for sure.. where can you buy RE subs?

http://www.reaudio.com and http://www.respl.com also look for their online dealer i forgot their name...free shipping.

have you upgraded your alt? was the first thing i did when i got the car because i'm sure my car would be dimming w/ about 1600w running (until i get another pg....:). 2200w+ is busty yeah both the h2 and the XXX will laugh at that amount of power, it barely even tickles them. i think the w7 can take it to but the price...vomit.

ya plan on gettin my alternator re-wound to about 125 amps and gettin a Exide deep cycle.. my buddy ran an Earthquake PHd2 "Shredder" (2000W+ & 300amp internal fuse) and a U-Dimenion 4x100RMS amp off stock alternator in his integra and a optima yellow top battery... his lights dimmed like a mofo when pounding it at like 142db or so but he was impressed nonetheless that he could run it all with a 60amp alternator :pface

omg could he drive at night? damn you would think that would hit more than 142 dbs...all in the install i guess. whenever i get around to either building a system for my bmw or selling it (what choices!) i'm gonna do some more on the competition circuit like i used to.

i just said 142 cause that's prolly what he'd hit with his street port, and sub level setting for driving... he actually hit 146db in competitions with a huuuuge slot port he'd swap in, you could stick your head in it... 7 cu.ft box for a Beyond Audio Inhuman 15" w/ triple spiders... won every competition he entered last season... i plan on winnin a few this season, if i get all my **** in order

diamond... sometimes i almost think that you are rapping out your posts, by the way the words flow together :pface

i'm not in the market for an alternator right now though... not for a while actually, and i'm gonna keep my DD for now and see what i hit, and if i'm disspointed in the numbers or if it sounds like uber ****, then i'll think about replacing it with an RE XXX...
