A "race Q"?

I think Dwayne was the only one running one.

since you're already running 4.08:1, you don't care about gas mileage===go 3000 stall. hell, you could go 4000 and it would almost be a cvt.be sure to add extra cooling capacity (i'm sure you already have an external cooler) to handle the additional energy conversion to heat.

no, i don't have a race Q.

The debate goes on and on, but 2800 or 3000 should be good. Wes might recommend some 3200 or higher #

I'm running about 2600 rpm on my ProTorque converter with the 4.08 gears. In retrospect, I would have liked to try a 3000 rpm stall.

i am running a 408 rear, built up trans and a billlit precision industries tc w/ 2800 stall. when i pull the tc gonna send it back for a 3200 stall (which they do free of charge 1x) if ipt is installing a billit tc it has to be from precision.if it is a stock tc with a bumped up stall it may not be as fun as u will loose alot of upper end.James

Luckily stall speed is self adjusting at less than WOT all that drops is TC efficiency and highway MPG and lockup clutch life.

Unfortunately 3200 in 4th is 96 mph...............or 84 mph with your gear set.

Before any mod always ask yourself and research why oem didn't do it!

3200-3500 is gonna be money right where you want to be at...

You'll crap a brick when the trans is done, TRANSFORMS the car, and youll see why I recommend the TC's over the 4.08 if you had to chose 1.
