My 92 240sx has blown shocks right now. I would like to get KYB AGX for my car, but aren't sure which springs would best accomodate the shocks. Thanks.

i use to have sportline with agx and they suck. I don't really care about lower anymore. I just want something good that will last for a long time. Is the Nismo S-Tune good?

Doesn't mean that's what's good for the agx's.

Sportlines excessively lower the chassis, beyond the point that the shocks can handle, shortening the life of the shocks(The AGX warranty is void if you lower more than 1.5" and if they do blow within their warranty period--they can tell by looking at the strut/shocks' piston if you "slammed" the car)

Tein S-Techs are a good and safe choice. Not to mention they have a warranty for sagging. Currently i use Suspension Techniques springs, other good choices are Eibach Pro-kits (they lower the least amount), H&R springs, and some others that you can find details about in the Suspension sticky ExarKun made.

I have thought about KYB AGX with Tein S-Tech. I use to have KYB with sportline and it really suck. It wasn't very good. Have anyone heard about Nismo S-Tune?

You need some 14 kgf/mm front springs / 12 kgf/mm rear springs so you can bounce over traffic.

nismo s-tunes arent springs, its a spring/shock combo already, i believe they use kyb shocks though

How would kyb know if your car is lowered more then 1.5 inches to void your warranty?

Huh thats weird, cause down here we take our blown stuts to where we bought them at and they exchange them on the spot, no questions asked.

autozone shocks have limited lifetime warranty and so does some others. Since Autozone and other distributor did not make the shocks they don't really care. When you deal with the manufateurs they tend to be more strict. I think KYB's FAq addressed to how they can tell the car has been lowered over 1.5 on their website.

I have them with an eibach pro kit and that does wonders until the springs start to soften. Mine did after about a year of hard driving. I suggest H&R.
