hi peeps, i am a new member. I own a 98 240sx. I recently put on an intake, and HKS muffler, it works and sounds pretty good. now, the next step is the spring and body kit. I have no idea what spring and body kit i should get. Can you guys give me some ideas? I don't want it too low, cuz' i am afraid that i would be pull over by those stupid copz. i am going to get a 17" rim later. so guys.. u think tanabe low 1.7" is alright? i found some tanabe srping in ebay cost about 80 buck + shipping , good deal or not? .. and how about the kit? bomex front bumper with vielside side skirts and rear spoiler looks good or not??

please give me some advices, thankxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Eibach Pro-Kit springs are great for performance handling. They'll lower the car about 1.2" in the front and 1" in the rear. http://www.eibach.com for more info on those and other Eibach products.

As far as body kits go, that's really all a matter of taste. I'm personally not big on kits myself, although I've seen some cars that look incredible with them. Go with what you like, because that's really all that matters in the end.

How about you NOT rice it and just lower it and get a body kit and spend the money on something worthwhile. Tanabe springs=junk, buy an Eibach pro-kit or sportlines. Sportlines more aggressive lower, worse ride, pro-kit slightly lower, better ride. Don't buy body kits and rims first, that's rice. Work on the stuff that matters.

That's wrong (well technically speaking.) The way you put is that the "pro-kit slightly lower" sounds lower than sportlines. You know what you're talking about, you just put it wrong.

Sportlines: ~2" drop, pretty rough ride (not too bad), great handling

Pro-Kit: ~1" drop, not so bad ride, good handling

Personally, I'd go with the sportlines, because you'll notice almost no difference with the Pro-Kit. The 240 rides very very high stock, and the 2" drop w/ the Sportlines almost isn't enough. There is still a 1.5-2" gap between the tire and fender when dropped on sportlines.

Just my .02

Nick.

Never owned pro kit but I can testify that my sportlines give an awsome tight ride and give the car a much nicer looking stace than stock.

i use Intrax springs, they lower car 2' front and back. the ride is almost the same as stock and they handle much better. they are a little cheaper than Eibach

Sportlines are the **** as far as springs go.. You cant get a better ride.. Its not rought at all.. You need good shocks to handel the new spring rate, yellow's are awsome.. Go with the sportlines, you wont be dissapointed.. 200 bones is well worth it/
