I have a set of 20x8.5 45mm rims on my car. I was wondering if 15mm front/20mm rear will get me close to flush or could I do 20mm all around.i have a 2006 m35 sport.

Since the wheels are already installed, I think you can grab a measuring tape and find out how much more offset you need to close the gap from tire to fender. If you roll the seams of the fender, you can squeeze another 5-10mm more I think. The fronts will have more of the vertical gap for the sake of being able to turn the wheels I suppose. You can crank your wheel hard left or right and take your measurements then so you get a better idea for the fronts. Try to leave a little bit for the sake of having different tires in the future (IE thicker sidewalls on some vs others).

The OEM wheels were 18 X 8 inches with 45mm offset I believe. So if you add an 8.5inch wide wheel with 45mm offset, it will stick out farther by 1/4 inch and be closer to suspension and brakes by 1/4 inch, right? That shouldn't need any spacer and will be closer to the edge of the fenders by 1/4 inch. Perhaps a member more savvy with wheel fitment can chime in.
You can also use the tire / wheel gizmo in the FAQ: http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

I got my friend who works at a shop to test fit a pair of 25mm spacers front and back. They fit perfect with no rubbing. Thanks for the feedback.

Awesome! Not everyone has the luxury of trial and error fitment, but it's the best! How about posting a photo of the results? :)

I post some before and after pics as soon as my other set of spacers come in.
