What size IC pipe and throttle body?

I was wondering if there is a scale of what size cold pipe and throttle body to use for cetain hp levels? for example 360 flywheel hp max.

i wouldnt go too much over 2.5 on the hot pipe. i was running a 2.25 , but i may goto 2.5 since the GT25r has a 2.5 outlet on it. and for 360fly the stock TB is plenty..

but i gota run a 4" inlet, and i thought it was tough fittin the stock crap in there:eek: :help

sorry to hijack the thread....but

if you just use 2" pipes from turbo to intercooler, then 2" from cooler to TB ( flared up at the end to fit )......would this be much of a restriction?

mainly because my I/C has 2" outlets....and so does the T25....?

I plan to later upgrade to a S14 T28 ( don't know size of outlet? )....and I need new end tanks to fit the cooler to my car anyway...so would it just be better to go to 2.25?

my CA is pretty factory at the moment...but plan to get Z32 maf, 550cc inj, and S14 T28...and hoping for around 250RWHP?

any ideas?

wherever the smallest pipe is, is where your restriction is gonna be.

The TB is 2 & 3/4 inches, I run 2.5 inches all the way through to the cooler where it flares to 3 inch, and 2&3/4 to the TB.

2.5 Inches is plenty. I was thinking of 2 & 3/4 the whole way, but 1.)It doesn't really need it2.)I couldn't find any 2&3/4 mandrel bends in stainless at the time.

As a rule of thumb, The hot pipe should be the same as the outlet on the compressor, The cold pipe should be the same as the TB
