Im putting a Greddy front mount on soon and im trying to figure out what hotpipe to buy. There are many available and in different sizes. Im running the stock turbo right now and am going to be running a Tomei turbo mani, Greddy intake manifold, Tomei elbow, boost will be 10-11 psi with an hks actuator in the future. How does the hotpipe work as far as size goes? The bigger the better? Or are they designed certain sizes for a reason. Enjuku sells one that i believe is 2.5 inch, FR sport has one that i believe is 2.25 and the Greddy hotpipe is 2 inches.

What would be the best? What would the different sizes affect?

a smaller sized hotpipe will yield better response. 2.25 or 2.5 would be best, you won't notice a difference between the 2. i'm actually selling a brand new hotpipe i never even installed. it's this one http://www.phase2motortrend.com/ph2s13inhoki.htmllet me know if you're interested

FYI, theres no reason to install a greddy intake manifold for stock motor. you will lose power then to gain. They are ment for bigger turbo set ups

i'll sell it for $85 shipped. imo its better to put the bov on the cold pipe. less vac line to run and better response

But it's Greddy, so it must be good.

Yeah, Greddy is good quality thats the reason i got it I have plans for this engine and im not worried about losing low end. I wont turn this into an intake manifold discussion thread though.
