I'm looking to purchase a set of Falken Azenis 615's to put on stock s14 alloys. They will only be used for autocrosses and possibly an HPDE event. Here is the problem, there are only 3 sizes available for 16" rims:

225/50R16215/45R16205/40R16

According to Falken's site, only the 225/50R16 is approved for 6.5" rims (I think this is the stock size).http://www.falkentire.com/rt615_sizes.html

I've seen a few posts in this forum that 225's are too wide for these rims. Any suggestsions?

you really cant use any of the 3

id recommend the hankook ventus rs2 in 205/55/16...same class as the falken, and comes in the proper size

The hankook ventus rs2's appear to get as favorable reviews as the 615s. I'll take a look at them. Should I be thinking about fitting a slightly wider tire on the stock s14 alloys than the 205/55R16?
