what size are the CA18DET head bolts? 10mm?

what size are the CA18DET head bolts? 10mm?

im about to take the head off...i have a 10mm hex socket it seems liek its is the right one but is having trouble going all the way down

is this the right size?

also anyone got suggestions on where i can go to get a stock headgasket?

head bolts are 10mm hex. You can get a stock headgasket from any auto supply store. Just ask for one from an '88 Pulsar 1.8L.

The stock headbolts should be replaced, either with another set of stockers or with some ARP studs (use the SR main stud kit, you'll need to reuse an old washer on one of them as the one above the water inlet/outlet will be a tad higher up). You'll need a 1/2" IIRC socket that is either very thinwall 12pt or get one and grind down the outside to fit in the head, if you go w/ ARP. the ARP bits are reusable but not cheap, but getting new OEM bolts is going to be a PITA to wait on..
