What should my timing be at wot on a sr20det
Reason asking is I pulled motor to change hoses and when I put it back in it was running sluggish pulled codes bad knock sensor so timing was going to 0 at wot replaced knock sensor and it runs 12 degrees at wot still running slugish

fifteen degrees before top dead center... at 800 rpms according to an FSM for an unspecified SR20DET.

What happens to your timing at wot when you hit the rev limiter and keep it at wot? That or actual, useful information could help others to help you.

So, you're probably using a normal timing light. You can't see your RPMS and timing at the same time nor do you have the accuracy of a data logger. So you don't know what exact degree you're on at what exact RPM. You can hit the throttle and watch the timing bounce around on your crank pully, but it's not useful information. That would be a normal situation. My KA does that. It also changes based on the load. So, mine looks like it drops degrees as I increase throttle and RPMs, but then I just hold it there and it stabalizes a bit and then increases in degrees. Neat to look at, but useful? I don't know. AFAIK you set your timing and RPMs at Idle per the FSM and let the computer do the rest. So, back to the FSM. Did you get your car to idle at 800 rpms and 15 degrees?

Yeah, there's too many variables to just say "It'll be this at WOT". You'd need to know RPM, temperature, load, boost level, knock sensor feedback... hell, even altitude could play a factor.

If you're just looking for a ballpark figure, 8-12 degrees is probably more in the realm of reality.
