i want to improve my car for drifting. its already got a welded diff, so where should i go from here. Should i save up for a turbo for the KA or, should i get some coilovers??? All you guys out there that drift stock or drifted stock, where did you go from there?? also, if i got the coilover first, i could get them in relatively short time, unlike the turbo where i have to save up for 6 months. So please give me some opinions, thanks.

Heres a pic of me sideways, you can really see how i need to get coilovers,)ride hight is crazy)

i say go colovers, and learn with a lil bit of power and work from their, not saying that power isent good, but i would do suspension first then go from their, but thats jsut my thoughts.

I have a 91 and my ride height is unbelievably high. Stock suspension on 240's are. My mods includes, Autobacs Intake and front strut bar, with some ignition parts, knocked out resonators and have straight pipe in place, and some hotshot headers im putting in on saturday, As well as some ported and polished parts on the throttle body and intake parts. Oh yeah, And my VLSD. My car does some great drifting. I Would go from where you are at. To suspension. Thats the best choice, Becuase drifting doenst require as much power.

Kiechi tsuchiya did drifting in a stock Levin AE86 So a stock 240sx engine wise with some suspension should do fine.

I bought some cheap agx's and sportlines springs. I had some strut towers off a parts car. I learned to control the car and slide it a little better with a completely stock motor. Put the turbo kit on the end of summer and it was the power I was looking for. Its a matter of what you want to do. Seeing you are into drifting I would do suspension first but its up to you.

I'm going with power just because I want to be the one leaving the scene faster than the ones being pulled over. Which do you prefer? I like to skip small stages and go big all at once. Still driving stock 240(not even intake) and jumping straight to a turboed one that's gutted.

Power is nice, but not so much for drifting. Get the coilovers u'll love it. Coilovers and a LSD is all u need to drift good. Besides practice

Hey, thanks fo the imput, next question is which coilovers to get. I was thinking about the KTS/SPL, they are in my price range, and seem to be an awesome setup. hey, anad, how do you like yours??

Love mine.. BTW.. forgot a "n" in my name

I highly recomend them... great for daily drive and they can be very stiff for drifting..

you didn't forget anything in his name, don't worry about it.

just put together any string of letters that starts with 'an' and everyone knows who you're talking about;

examples;

andandabalamaandahalamaananananannananananananadandfajklsdhajksdgklfjdsklsdkdjaand

the truth of the matter is that no one knows how to spell his name, not even he does.

go with the kts, unless you find some d2's much cheaper. power can make drifting more difficult if your still learning. like me powering over most of the time causes a spin more often than not.
