Now, I don't REALLY need a car since I take the subway to work which is alot more convenient (parking in NYC is a pain in the a**) so basically, the car will be just a good car to get me to places with friends, cruise, you know, the fun stuff. I dont drag race nor, drift, track so I dont REALLY want a perfect handling car or something REALLY powerful. I have though of some cars that I would like to get and made the poll. Please choose which would suit me more and if possible a reason to go with it and please also tell me what car you chose. Thx in advance. My next car should be...

I have owned many RX-7's and loved them, but if your in NY where you might not even drive often, I would go with the 240 SX, they are just so reliable and get better MPG then the RX-7...The RX-7's should also be driven daily, so the seals don't dry.

I don't like any FWD cars, I love the true sports car handling of RWD...However, I would say test drive as many as you can and see what your tastes are?Good luck/skill

you said take you to places w/ "friends" plural... i think you might want to look into something a little bigger if you're going to take out friends. Those cars just dont allow adults to sit in the back seat...thats my opinion

well I made the mistake of saying friends because if I'm not driving alone, its just my girl friend that will be with me. Also, I can care less if my mpg is lower than what I would normaly get with a camaro or any other little mpg car coz that doesnt really bother me....

PS: No love for the 3000gt?

3000gt eats unless its a VR-4, or the twin turbo that isn't awd, I think they made one anyway...

I say you get an Inifiti, I mean you just want a cruiser anyway:D

none of your choices are bad, if the car is in decent shape. Assuming all are in equal condition, the S-13/S14 are likely going to be the cheapest to maintain over the long run. It's also got luggage room and a back seat (even though cramped). It's also a fun car to drive and small enough to get around easily in the city.

RX-7 very quick, very fun, but very expensive to repairMR-2. gocart like handling, reliable & very small which is good in a city, but because it's so small it holds virtually nothing. 3000GT is fast but has a thirsty V6. Also a full notch below in reliability. I'm not a big fan of it's styling2nd Gen Eclipse. two words: crank walk. It's a nice fun car but it's also a cut below in reliability compared to the toyota and Nissan.I'd be more tempted by a 1st gen AWD Eclipse, than a second gen.

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention that the spending limit will be around 5k for the car. I was really looking into 3000gt and I'm pretty sure I can pick up a non VR4 model for less than that. Anyone have any experience with this car? as of handling, power, reliability? And also, Im really not looking to buy a brand new car, since I'm a student and don't have TOO much money left over after bills and such. Also, reason why I dont wanna choose an another 240 is that I won't be spending alot of money on modification on whatever car I buy and 240 is kinda underpowered without any mods...

Rammed a yellow cab from the back coz he just decided to slam on his break all of a sudden while screeching his tires, nose diving so that HE can stop himself from hitting the van in front of him...

have you thought about the Lexus SC300, it's equiped with a 2JZ-GE motor. the stock motor on taht car can push 400hp reliably. leave alone swaping out to a 2JZ-GTE block--600hp woow.

3000GT is no fun. You'll never be able to get a VR-4 for 5k and even if you could, they are heavy as **** and I'm not a big fan of the styling. MR-2 would be good, but they aren't to cheap either and very small. RX-7 is a favorite of mine, but not always cheap to maintain and reliability isn't great. I say go for the S14, it's a good looking car and is alot of fun and reliable, etc..
