I dont know how to put this but lets see.

Ive had my 89'se for almost a year now ( bout 10.5 months) and shes a high milage lady 189xxx n climbing. She is my 1st car. She is mechanically ok (think trannies bout 2 give out), althought her interior is "satisfactory" and exterior....lets just say "learning experiences." Just high millege and cancer in usual places.Shes been my daily driver/ driving teacher.

I got her last year with bout 177xxx, not really caring bout the millage or condition. I was going on the thought that I was going to sr swap asap. Ive gotten older & wiser now, and a sr swap isnt very "ideal" for a young person in my situation.

Now all I want is a daily driver/drifter, possibly track usage in the future. Something with less chassis millege. Kinda got the thought stuck in my head that more millege on the chassis makes it weaker

SO, should I stick with her dohc swap and whole lotta tlc, or should I pick up a newer model with less milege and work with her ?your thoughts boys/gals?

I say find your self a nice s14.

Just see how much you can find a low milage DOHC s13 for. And compare the price it will cost you to find an engine and transmission and have it installed.

let us know which way you decide.:)

One thing to remember is 96 up is obd2, so you will have more problems with emissions. If you get 95 you wont have to worry about obd2 hook up, only smog test. Just a though.
