what should i do with these

took the AIV out a while ago and dealt with the hoses by duct taping them so i could drive w/o a rattle...now i want to get rid of them completely and wanted to know if anyone else has done this...and how it turned out

just remove them all together. An cap the hole on the exhaust.

Yeah just cap the exhaust I did it to mine. Youll be just fine.

I think i read somewhere that you could use a quarter or dime to stuff the hole in the manifold.. If anyone can confirm that it might be worth the time. It would definatly clean it up a bit.

I might be a little slow here but, what's the advantage to removing your air injection system?

I heard its just for a cleaner running engine. And there are some other advantages that were listed on another thread months and months ago. lemmie see if a can get a link.

Over time the aiv can clog up, or start malfunctioning, letting dirty air back into the intake. The aiv's only purpose is to warm up the cat, and due to all the problems with it was removed when the S14s were released.
