So I'm torn...

I'm fixing to sell the Supra for $1500 (the guy has given me $600, owes me $900)...should I use that and save up some more money to do...

a) Silvia front-end, paint job, and some nice wheelsor b) Slight rebuild and turbo the SOHC ?

What makes me want to do the Silvia front-end is so that I can show in NOPI, but I also want my car to be turboed real bad...

I don't wanna be all show, no go as well...

What do ya'll think?

I say option B, slight rebuild and turbo. Then you can do the looks part. No point in lookin like a silvia if you can't perform like one.

I'd like to say turbo but I do love the silvia front end on coupes.I'm in the process of tryign to make a SC kit.Would work the same with SOHC as DOHC.looks like to keep all accesories though I'm goign to need to cut the hood..I need the SC first to figure it out.Setup is going to cost about 1500...So do your silvia conversion first.Besides IMO if your goign to do silvia you need to go SR.

most def turbo... having it look nice will be cool for awhile, but thats it. You will have a hard time getting tired of a ka-t 240. Go for performance first. good luck

going to be interesting getting a turbo running for 1500 though, do you still have some parts from your hatch that would lessen the required budget a bit?

Turbo it and clean it off, you can still show it at Nopi. you're going for that more power. Just make under the hood pristinely clean. you'll reel em in.Then next Nopi you can Return with the Silvia front and KILL em

i would say go performance first, but theres always the issue if you do turbo it b4 body work on how the intercooler will fit, with a conversioin bumper on it, fitment would be no problem, not very familiar with the S13 though does it have room for an intercooler with the stock bumper?

Silvia fronts are pase. DO the turbo swap. Or, better yet, a DOHC swap!

Needed a bit of chop.. well, a lot of hop to get a 75mm thick 'cooler into a stock bar.. also will need to cut / redesign the bash thingo ( the bar behind it ) as well.. i chopped mine into a curve so it looks stock, then bolted the cooler in behind it all, so in a normal crash it'd kinda be okay..

DOHC swap and then turbo it. Maybe pick up some decent rims and maybe a stock lip for a little show.

DOHC swap is too spendy for what you get (not to mention it's a pain in the ***) if you're gonna swap in a diff motor, just put in an SR. Nothing wrong with the SOHC motor tho.

BTW, turbo turbo turbo. you'll feel like a dousche losing races in a sic looking car
