When I parked my car this year I did not intend to do a swap, but I came across some money, so I bought an SR. Anyway my tank is filled up will lowgrade gas about 3/4 full. I just bought a Walbro pump, so should I siphen the gas out, and get some premium to put in, or will I be OK running the 87 Octane until the tank runs out?

for extra measure, i'd siphon it all out and pump in some high test w/ octane boost

just for the shakedown in case the motor decides to run bad at first...

Yeah thats another thing I meant to ask. What if I just dumped some octance booster in the low grade? I have heard bad things about octane booster, but dont know if it is true.

I had less than a 1/4 of a tank left ( and gas is ****ing expensive )i just got some octane boost drove to the gas station and got good old V-powa!!!:D

Only bad thing i herd of octane boost is if you use to much your gas will turn into jet fuel. kinda happened to my friends 2nd gen rx7 he put enough in to treat 40 gallons of gas. Queer triangle owners.

I used some of the 104 octane booster in the black bottle. Cost about $7 and treats 20 gallons (oops used the whole thing on 7). Worked great on my SR. Never had any problems. Now I just run 93.5 pump. I think that is the stuff SCC recommended in their article, but anyway it works pretty damn good.

better safe than sorry i say.you don't have to siphon though.get a long piece of fuel line and attach it the return line from the regulator.put the other end in a gas can, start the car and wait till the can is full or the car dies.it'll be fine at idle.you can recycle that fuel in your beater or lawnmower.

You can mix Toluene with the bad gas toluene is a 114 Octane you can get it from a paint store I run this mixs alot and it works good for me

[(x * 92) + (y * 114)] / (x + y) = z

Where:

x= Amount of Pump Gas y= Amount of Toluene z= New Octane
