Ok guys I have a 1997 s14 with an s14 "notchback" blacktop sitting beside it waiting to go in. It came from heavy throttle (which is a very awesome very helpful business). I also went ahead and ordered lots of mods. they are as follows. Blitz lm fmicgreddy profec e01spec clutchfidanza flywheelblitz downpipegreddy type rs bovkoyo radiatorhks 256/264 camsmetal head gaskethead studsapexi gt spec exhaustnismo 555cc (which actually flow 615cc)injectorsz32 mafsjwt tuned ecugt2871rdivorced turbo outlet pipe

Here is my question. Should I install these parts before I install the motor for the first time? It would be much easier, but I dont know if I should do it before I start the motor for the first time. Will any of this stuff hurt to install it first. What should I go ahead and install and what should I leave off? Should I buy another factory ecu and install it completely stock first? Any help would be great. Thanks

I would leave your fuel system (except fuel pump) stock, and leave the turbo at 7psi (assuming your fuel system can support it). Until you iron out any potential problems, then start putting on the good stuff. Or you could just put it all on to begin with anyway, I dont see where it could cause much harm.

Definatly do any internal work first though (headgaskets and whatnot). Clutch and flywheel are another one to get out of the way.

Ok but I can go ahead and put the different turbo on? Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I have a 255 walbro pump, nismo adj fpr., and a 300zx fuel filter.

like jspec said...i would go ahead and throw everything on except the fuel thing(injectors, fpr)unless your ecu is tuned for it and you dont have a stock one, then go ahead and throw the fuel stuff on. and I would not put the cams on right away either(those are still easily accessible with the motor in).

it's a lot easier to track down a problem when breaking in a motor when you have less parts upgraded because there are only so many variables that could be wrong. when you add new parts it could be effecting something else. or thats at least my opinion. and yes, throw that bad boy 2871 on there too.
