What should I ask for my J30?

Been awhile but it's good. My son has the J30 at school and it's been good but he's in Wisconsin and a friend of mine is selling his Trailblazer to him cheap and he can't pass it up as he's doing lots of traveling in the great white north.

My question. What should I ask for the car? It's a 93 with a 163,000 miles. Runs awesome. Some rust in rockers and a few electrical gliches with the radio and rear power window. Sun roof and air works. Newer tires with less than 10,000 miles. Interior in great shape.

you could try asking about $2000-$2500 or so. i did some looking at KBB and they value the '93s at $1800 in excellent condition. when i took my gold car to carmax for a quote when it was in good shape, they wanted to give me $1200 and that was it. said i was getting a good deal and laughed at them.

Different regions have different prices. Check what similiar cars are going for in Autotrader and price accordingly.

Thanks guys. I wouldn't give it away like a Carmax thing. Craiglist is everywhere from $1800 to 3200 (very low mileage). I have room to keep it for a while as my other son is away at school and has an 86 Lincoln which needs way more than the J30 but no one wants me to get rid of that as it was my father in laws and he just passed away. have a couple weeks to make any sort of decision.

Well all. Car Max offered $500 as they really didn't want it. Got $1000, my son was good with it as I was doing the selling and with the numerous phone calls and trying to schedule people and couple test drives it was not worth it. If my son wanted more he could have sold it.
