Think about how you want your set up to be and what will be your uses out of the car. AutoX, drift, drag, track, daily driven and what not. Think about whether you want high horsepower, or if turning and drifting is your thing, then suspension first. Like me, i'm young, turning 16 on monday. I know for a fact i dont need horsepower so im am goin to wait on that, because I know I'll kill my self seriously. First, I wanted a black top s13 sr20det, then id work on the engine. Thought about it, and my bro helped out on my decision, so I am just going to start w/ an s15 conversion, and j-blood body kit, then get some seats, and brakes, to stay safe, since i know i need to be safe. Suspension, misc. interior doo dads, then engine. Thats the lay out, and some wheels in between, would like manarays or volks, but this is all just a dream, even though i do have the money if i wanted to dump it into my car, but I need to save. So think about that for awhile. Whether you want a sleeper, or something subtle. Think about what you want, do some research, and save the money. Hope I helped. BTW, do you have any knowledge about your 240sx?

BB Turbo just described exactly what I was going to say. You have to think about what you wanna do with the car and build your plan around that. Do some research before you make up your mind. There's a lot of info on NICO, club240.com, and other places like http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com Experience is always the best way to decide what you want to do, but if you don't have experience, learn from others' experience.

You should actually concentrate on fixing minor problems with your car first and make sure the engine is in good condition. No leaks, no smoke, no weird noises, etc...

Then I say do whatever you want first...I know some people are more into performance and some people are more into show. Which one are you?

Hey Sil80, there have been some very extensive threads on the S15 conversion, but since your new. Here, if you want quality, go here http://www.autoimaging.com/sho...at=94great fitment. Prices range from about 1300-to even 3k, thats if they are in perfect shape and no dings or anything.check out other sites too, like ViS, they make kits, too, but everyone that gets that kit arent usually happy because the fitment is pretty bad. go to the body kit faq that my self as well as others created.

IMO, I/H/E and pulleys. Good for a little punch and great for a daily driver. I should have done this first before the rest of my mods, now i am going back to take care of it.

repair what needs to be fixed first. Check out your fluids, do your tune up, check your tires, and maybe some of the bushings if they're in dire need for replacing. Then I'd say move into the intake and maybe an exhaust. The stock suspension is fairly good considering how unmatched the engine and suspension are (suspension good, and engine is underpowered) so I'd swing with that first. Then look into sway bars and strut tower bars. Then I'd toss in the short shifter and maybe new steering wheel as mine is pretty trashed. I'd say make your car run well first (it'll cost you less in the long term so you can save for more mods later), then do stuff to make it so you can have fun with it.

I'll go with NeverEnuff and say LSD and a clutch upgrade if you plan on drifting. I was at DD11 last sat and I was the 2nd most pathetic driver out there. I had an open dif and a slipping clutch. This is not to say that I would have done any better even if I had an LSD and working clutch. But I wouldn't have any excuses left to suck so bad :)
