ok i put some lowering springs on my 98 infiniti i30. keeping the stock struts.i loved the look and overall handeling. and sportier stiffer ride.BUT it took about 2 weeks ans ive completely wore out the rear struts.now i can damn near bounce the rear tires off the ground. and when i hit bumps in the road it feels like my back wheels are gonna fall of.

anyways what do you guys recomend for replacing the stock struts.something that i can use my lowered springs with, without blowing them.

i was looking at some tokico ilumina adjustable shocks, with a 5 notch adjuster. i just dont know if they work with the lowered springs.

any advice would help, thanks.

Illuminas work just fine, tho they are a premium.

I'm moving this to Maxima Forum for more options....

For me personally, I'll be doing the Tokico Illuminas shocks, and struts, with the Eibach springs. I've read, and heard many great things about the overall quality and the ride from that set up.

I would also recommend the Illuminas, they've given me no problems at all.

I have two rears for sale in the classifieds. Brand new, in box, never installed.

Two Tokico HP "blues". I love them on my I30.

I'm selling the car and don't need them. They were extras because I got warranty replacements on my original set.

lowblocks,

Yes you can. I have that setup now on my I30. I didn't see the need to have adjustable rears so I have the Illuminas up front and the HPs in the rear.

I was going to go with the Tokico Illumina's all the way around before I found a killer deal on my coilovers. I love the coilovers but they're way expensive for just cruising unless you can get the deal I got. So, imo, Tokico's and Eibach's are the way to go.
