Im probably gonna be getting some suspension conponents soon and am looking into the RS-R hard springs. My question is what would be a good shock to compliment this spring? The springs come with a rate of (F)5.00kg (R)4.50kg. Since thats stiffer than other springs like the prokits, I dont know if AGX would dampen them well without suffering damage to the shock. I dont want the koni yellows because they cant be adjusted in the back while on the car. Any other sugesstions for adjustable/non adjustable shocks for these springs?

how far does the Rs-R lower the vehicle, and where are you getting them from? I'd love to list a place to get those springs from on the "where to buy" section...

I'd say the AGX would be fine, its a fairly stiff damper even on its soft setting, and on its hrd one, it can be almost brutal...-chet

There the link to the RS*R US website. The springs that interest me are the RS*R "race". According to the info on the site, the drop is 1.4" front and 1.2" rear for an S13. Very mild drop and a very stiff spring. I believe that spring rate is approaching that of the Tein HA's. Definitely the stiffest lowering spring I've ever seen.

They don't currently have any retailers listed on the site, but I've sent them an email. I'll let you know as soon as I hear something.

Jesse @ Rollhard says that autoimaging.com carries RS*R stuff, so I'll email them and find out what's up.

Right now i dont know where i can get them. Their site says that they have u.s distributors but they dont list them yet. I know someone on zilvia that is getting some so i will ask them. Like badmojo said they are 1.4 front and 1.2 rear.

Yeah thats why i was looking into these springs instead of coilovers. I want a stiff ride but not boneshattering stiff like a coilover provides.

hmm that is a stiff spring rate for lowering springs, but i like my 8k (450lb) front and 6k (339lb) rear. Maybe even eventually gettin new springs. 9k in the front and 7k in the rear :)like riding on rails

For what it's worth, Koni has told me that the Sport's (yellow) will be able to handle the RS*R springs. They recommended setting the damper to anywhere from 50-100% over "soft".

I'm not sure how the KYB's match up to the Koni's as far as valving goes, but I would think that the RS*R spring would be pushing the limits. Ground Control runs higher spring rates on KYB shocks, but I think they're custom valved to handle it.
