the Z32 uses a totally different shifter mechanisim, the KA and SR shifters are the same.

He meant the KA & SR shifters are the same as the RB25 shifters.

The shifters are the same, but the shifter housings are not. So if you are going short shifter, you can use things like the Pilot/OBX/Megan short shifter, but probably not the B&M, since the B&M replaces the plate that covers the shifter ball. The B&M still *could* work, but for $200, I can't afford to check it out.

has this been tried as in has someone actually installed one. short shifter that goes on the sr and put it on an rb25. the only reason i ask is someone said they tried this and the ball was smaller than the rb's.

i just bit the bullet and bought a nismo shifter from rb motoring. i hope its better than my pilot shifter with greddy counter weighted shift knob on my sr.

i got my nismo shifter in today. on the paperwork it lists the shifters as ECR33, RB25DET=32839-RN590.SR20DET=32839-RN540.im not saying they dont intermix but there is something a little different otherwise they wouldnt waste time with a different item (part number).

Wait, are we talking KA24 shifter into RB25 transmission? My Ka shifter was way to small to fit in the RB25's transmission
