Well i have been having issues with running super rich for a while.I finally got to plug my z into my friends Nissan data scan, everything seemed ok except the base a.f ration was at like the highest menu option, we made it as low as it could go on the options and drove around plugged in. The car still ran rich, but not as bad, but ran 10000 times better, spooled faster and was in general much smoother.
What would cause this problem? All injectors are in spec and are not leaking btw. Could this be an o2 sensor issue? Thanks so much i hope you guys can help!

Is that reading a narrow band signal? If so I wouldn't trust it. A wideband is the way to go, also check codes, and what ecu/chip you using?

10.9 is Michael Moore pig rich at idle. Idle should be something like 15:1

I'd be careful messing around with the car's settings if you don't understand what the AFR is. The higher the number the leaner the car will run, after all it's an AIR to FUEL ratio, not a fuel to air ratio.

OEM plugs means nothing. Are they the NGK platinums? PFR6B-11B?

Oh, and this is a technical question

Yes they are the oem plugs that z1 sells. I know that its pig rich. Are o2 sensors supposed to read 0 at idle? and shut of sometimes during gas?

Yep, your O2 could be the problem, so could your temperature sensor. I would check the temp sensor first.

Agreed, easy check and easy clean.

Monitor your coolant temp
