I am thinking about purchasing a 350Z in the middle future, about a year and a half. I'm going on a decently long business trip that involves some sand. When I get back I will most likely be buying a new ride. I'm currently driving a 06 Kia Spectra5 that's pimped out. Can't argue with 35MPG and room for the kids. To get back to what I was saying, I'm looking at getting the GT Roadster in Solar Orange. The wife wants a convertable. I don't care either way. I can't see paying over 40 large for it though. I already dropped over 40 for a new Suburban to haul around my 4 boys and thier stuff so I'm not diggin the payments. It looks like I'm going to be buying used.

What types of things are there that I should look for when I'm shopping for the Roadster that aren't issues with the Coupe?

What things can you do to the coupe that you can't do to the vert?I know some of the wings you can't use because of the top storage.

I'm a huge car guy so I'm familiar with most techincal auto terms and how things work. Thanks for the help.

If your planning on do any auto-x you will have to get a roll cage for the vert. When looking for one just make sure that the top is in good condition and is working properly.

Thanks for the tip. I don't plan on autocrossing the vert. It's just going to be a fun car for me and the wife for the weekend drives to shows and events.

if you are going for the vert, look for a used one with the open mesh in the back of the seats. It will keep you cool in the hot sun when your top is down..cant wait to see your Z...and if you get an 06 or 07 you get standard HIDS and LED taillights

Are those the seats in your ZR? I was wondering about the difference in the bolstering between those and the regular leather ones. The black ones look a little thicker. Thanks for the info.

im not sure, but the bolstering should be thesame. The only major difference is that the center part is mesh..so your back could have air circulation. I have Frost leather on mine...just the regular power seats
