lol an amusing twist to this would be for people to post maybe just a yes or no to if htey're of legal age to drink...

did i mention that i had a drink one time in mexico that i will never forget...or should i say never remember...it was called a blue lagoon...i think it was made from the water in a nuclear power plant...i swear i drank it and i couldnt resist but to take my pants off and run...

looking back on it, i think it was a big cup of tequila w/ blueberry flavor in it...then again i was 15 at the time so i dont think i could hold my liquor so good...

no actually, I live in the city, and I was kind of partly raised like a black man, so no I'm not a honkey at all. Plus where I was born is kind of like a ghetto-ish part of the Quad Cities(Illinois)

but you live in Tennessee, so should you have much room to talk?

Ooh, ooh, me, me, me!!!And I like blood. Blood is good.

No, just kidding. I'm not 21, so I can't admit to having a favorite drink. But I can tell you that it is certainly not [cough] vodka.

Haha I love absinthe. It's a shame it's illegal in the U.S. now. One shot = euphoria.

Oh, I'm not legal to drink but that's never stopped me.

Actually, from everything I've read the amount of thujone (from the wormwood) is so small that you'd die from alcohol poisoning before you'd get to enjoy any of the psychoactive effects of the wormwood.

Hell, I think pure absinthe was something like 140 proof.

Anyway, Pernod supposedly tastes something like absinthe. If that's true, absinthe tastes like pure ***.

Isn't absinthe only available in Europe? That's something I've got to try.

Can;t believe everything you read. You should try it first hand.

Toxins affect everyone differently. I feel REALLY REALLY good after a shot of absinthe and a couple of other drinks.

My friend orders it online. It's like 40-50 bucks a bottle after shipping.

I'll take your word for it. I'm just saying, anything over 120 proof is going to alter your state of consciousness pretty quick, regardless of any other ingredients.

I *would* try absinthe, but the taste of anise makes me want to vomit. I could barely choke down Pernod.

I'll stick with Chartreuse...The Other Green French Liquor™.

I don't think I've had it. What does the bottle look like?

Is anyone here a fan of cognac? I think I'm the only female under the age of 50 who really appreciates a nice glass of cognac.

Cordon Bleu and Remy are my faves.

It's pretty unassuming. It's kinda hard to find, since not many people seem to like it very much. I, personally, love it. It even goes well with Dr. Pepper.

Check it out....

pernod and a lot of the french absinthe makers are heavy on the anise. if you want, try any of the czech makers, no anise, no sweetness. its bitter and strong as hell. a lot more thujone. i think the czech brand "Absinth" (no E) is good. im going to try a spanish/ibizan brand next. . . then swiss! then around again!!! wwoooottttt-Enzo
