getting around 18 on highway and like 11-12 on the street. SO BAD!! Will it get better?

Don't look for much improvement driving our lovely, congested SoCal roads. Took mine to Vegas where I was able to open it up and cruise highway speeds (okay, a little "faster" than highway speeds), and MPG jumped up around 23-24.

I have the same car. I get about 16 in local driving and 24 on several trips of about 300 miles. This is just a little bit worse than th 18 and 25 I got from my 03 G35 coupe, but this car is so much better I can live easily with th worse gas mileage.

21 mpg over first 340 miles. Some city traffic but mostly urban interstate at 60 to 70 mph. Suggest you report your mileage (and repairs) to TrueDelta.

I think I've done around 60/40 (city/highway) and averaging 17 mpg. Mileage should get somewhat better later on.

Well also keep in mind that your MPG greatly depends on your style of driving. I dont keep track of my MPG because I dont wanna start getting all conservative. Once in a while I floor my car just to have a lil fun. Have fun with your car and experiment around to see what improves it.

BTW: I welcome most of you since most of you are all noobs

I've got 4,400 miles on my G37S (6MT) and I have averaged 17.5 from mile one. Granted I do about 80 % inner-suburb driving.

I must say... this is a much nicer car than my '03 G35 6MT...I am surprised though - with all the upfront hype about improved fuel economy - I expected a little better.... But I am enjoying the experience of driving this car.......very nice indeed.

I'm averaging 18 MPG - I expected a little more after all the hype for thenew engine saving more than 10% MPG from the older engine. However, I'm very happy love the Car

I drive 15 miles from home to work in the morning mixed driving (Downtown Dallas, and highway), and then 5 miles from work to home (I run my sons to school in the morning that is 5 miles north of work). I average 16mpg normally... but then I don't drive like a grandma either...

I get like 17-18 on the G37S. I do make alot of short 3 mile trips which hurts, but on the highway I think I should be able to get 25 on long trips

G37S 6MT, Both center gauge LED and 7" TFT mileage estimates have put me at between 19 and 23, averaging 21 with 70% side roads and 30% highway.

But, at 2nd tank fill up, I did the simple old school (total miles - total miles at 1st fill up)/gallons to completely full calculation and from that I got an average of 26 mpg!

I'm still under 1000 miles and taking it quite easy, but I was quite shocked at how inaccurate both the onboard fuel efficiency estimates are. I suspected the LED mileage calculator might be too stupid to properly consider speed of travel but I expected the Nav screen TFT mileage estimates to be a lot smarter. I should hook up my old pocket PC to the OBD on this thing and see what that calculates.
