1: the dremel tool

i was helping my lil brother install a rear strut bar on his eclipse & the plastic panels were in the way of the mounting adaptors<-->bar, so i break out the tool w/ a cutting/sanding disc & cut out a bigger opening... soo many uses!

2: multimeter

$2.99 @ harborfreight so i got 2 of 'em; both my lil bro & i don't have any excuses about electrical now!

3: torque wrench

don't want my nutz to fall off--- i mean lug nuts or brake rotors to warp d/t over tightening...

what's your top 3 fav tools?

I would have to say that the Reciprocating Saw is my favorite tool. After that it would be Nismo_Freak with out a doubt. Ha! If I had a plasma cutter, that would be my favorite tool.

You sum*****...

I like to use chainsaws to cut up people like Bud, then I put them in the mulcher, and finally the trash compactor makes them nice and small.

1. linesman's pliers!!

they're good for banging things, grabbing things, twisting things, breaking things, cutting things... everything. no garage should be without a good set of Klein linesmans!

2. Socket set with all the fixins'

yea yea I know it's pretty much the standard (metric? haha) tool... but you gotta give credit where credit is due... EVERY project needs these things

3. Sawzall.

hell yes.

id have to say impact wrench and impact screwdriver, i hate having to almost strip a screw or bolt, and you use one of those, never any problem.

When I get my own house, I'm putting a lift in my garage. No more crawling on my back for me.

The one cool thing about being in high school is all the cool tools my auto shop has. Air ratchets, brake lathe, tire mount machines (x2), lifts (x3), alignment rack, dremels, impact guns, infrared scanner, OBD scan tool, Oscilliscopes (x3), welders, etc...

And best of all: a plasma cutter. :D

I took the dremel today and sharpened my lawnmower blade. I wanted it sharp as a Samurai Sword. After I was done, I promptly cut myself on it trying to put the blade back on.

the board of education is taking away our plasma cutters and welders :(

they say that since welding and cutting is not automotive related ( what a bunch of bull ****)we only have 2 lifts, alignment tools ( a tape measure and a thing to draw a base line on the tire for toe and a camber gauge that goes on the hub), i occiliscope from the 80's, etc... but it all works fine, and i do have the coolest teacher in the entire world and a bunch of air tools:)

GAY. Fight for that shyt...I mean they've already bought it, whats the point in taking it away now. I'd kill to have access to a welder and plasma cutter.
