A few times since I got my car back up and running, I have had an issue. When I first start driving, it is gutless. It feels like I took off in 2 or 3rd gear. Then it kind of coughs and it is back to normal. The best way to describe it is like if something is stuck in a straw and then gets blown out. My initial thought was a turbo seizing up but I don't think that would explain why it is so gutless especially at low rpms since the turbo is not providing boost. Any ideas?

Is it only when the engine is cold or on every launch? Other usual suspects would be MAF and TPS...

Seems to be only when the engine is cold. It certainly does seem like a clog, but then it "coughs" it out...

if it was cats, the warmer it gets the worse it gets.

Have you checked for codes? Almost sounds like O2 sensors or Coolant temp sensor. I have the same issue, but I think I have a boost leak and I used non oem O2 sensors and I think they cause minor issues. Who knows. Run some codes, do a boost leak(Vacuum leak) and go from there.
