You know.. the ones that now come up when I attempt to view a post and hide the entire screen.

I'm fine with the annoying flashing ads on the top, side, and bottom of my screen here at NICOclub (gotta pay the bills somehow).

But I am not fine with the inconvenience of a 15 second splash ad that pops up before I can even view a thread.

PS- Clicking a "Skip Ad" text link does not kill that inconvenience either.

This community rocks, please don't ruin it with even more advertising.

WAHOO!

The site didn't get hacked, did it? I've seen a few sites in which hackers added splash advertising on high traffic sites to get click $$. Although I can't imagine they can be too smart since you can trackdown where the $$ goes...

the site was attacked by those plum tomatoes that have been making people sick...

No ones attacking NICO. (if you saw how ripped and big i am you would know why )

Greg (nico owner) has done a great job of keeping the ads limited to the side, and not having it interfere with viewing the site... but as always sometimes theres a "hitch".

Have no fear the AZHitman is here! (said in the underdog voice)

I feel ya man. Firefox got me completely addicted to the internet. Now I've got toolbars everywhere! Stumbleupon, digg, etc.

if you use Fire Fox for your web browser you can find some tweaks/add-ons that will allow you to block the stupid adds.

I understand NICO makes money by selling add spaces, but the one we are talking about SUCKS....

The "big ad" issue was done without our consent and has been removed from most of the site. I notice that Greg missed the Altima scheme so I will take care of it shortly.
