wow, this is a small forum, only one page, I guess everyone likes to jump on the SR/RB wagons eh? just kiddingthis CA motor sounds really interesting, lot of people were telling me it's the "baby-RB" a lot of similar internals to the RB25, heck the design looks pretty similiar, anyway, hope to read up and learn more about this motor, seems like the right motor for my plans, just get it up to about 280-300 to the wheels

alright, later all

nah, there's more than one page. by defualt the forum only displays active/new topics within the past 7 days. if you switch it to "all" then you'll see there are a lot more pages.

Yeah, the CA is a great motor. And it's a great motor for the power you're looking for, but so are all the other Nissan motors. I think its greatest selling point is that it's the lightest of all the common turbo S chassis motors(40 lbs less than SR) and it's cheaper than all the popular swaps. Have fun browsing the forum; I recommend you first read the FAQ thread at the top.

I read everything when I first started carousing this part of NICO Matter of fact, I think I even got some kudos from you for digging up an old *** thread proving my use of the search function

the search function is awesome, on those rare instances that it actually works. i try to use it myself, but usually get lazy and just post it on the main forum and get people mad at me.

and ryan, i do believe thats worth 2 cookies, not just one. way to go sir.

oh, haha...silly me, yes that default day thing is rather trickyyeah....been scrounging around this CA forum, trying to absorb as much info as I can about this engine...just sucks to see that most of these engines are beat on real bad and need some TLC....they are old motors after allwaterpump, headgasket, headbolts...the only thing I'm afraid of is changing the rings and bearings and doing the wiring.....not much experience in that stuff....well....onward I go to read up some more.....in search for 280-300 HP.....

by the way RMiller, did you ever reach your 350HP goal?running reliably?

later

Heh, did I say 350 hp? I'm definitely not there now, but seat of the pants tells me about 220-230 whp at 1 bar. I want to go to a dyno, but I keep having other unexpected expenses (that phrase looks funny) come up. Plus, I still need new intercooler couplers and I'd like new piping as well. I did get my bumpers and spoiler painted though.

I will get to about 350 Whp eventually. I'll probably take out a personal loan in the Spring, consolidate my debt and dump more money than I should into my car.

But hey, the engine is reliable as I've never had a problem, and it runs perfectly.
