Hey everybody,
I just wanted to say hello. I've had my Altima Coupe since February of last year, but I haven't gotten around to working with it too much. Basically I've only had time to drive it back and forth to work. Anyway, it's a black '08 3.5 SE with the CVT. Oh and I had the windows tinted (hooray for something). So now I'm starting my journey into customizing my first import car. I've done a street truck, but had to sell it as I was paying about $700 a month in gas (not joking). So I'm totally new to the tuner cars, but so far I've loved this thing.

Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated. Oh and I read a few of the welcome messages and I know you're going to tell me to drop it. So before you do, I'll ask how I should drop it. What parts, and everything like that.

Thanks Everybody.

One more thing, before I go. Ignore the name. My friend gave that to me as a nickname because I was too nice. So he went with the whole irony thing.

With the eibach kit, how is the ride quality, will I need to buy new shocks for it? About how much does it lower the car? And are the end links for the front and rear a necessity?

Also, do you know of any adjustable coilover kits and are they worth the money instead of just going with the eibach?

Sorry for the million questions, I've only done a street truck and that's a whole different beast haha.

I usually argue that the coilovers are a better bet, but YMMV, depending on your driving style and local road conditions.

What happens a lot is that the stock shocks can't handle the extra stress from being lowered (at least, not as well as they can from the stock springs), and so in a year, two, maybe three if you're lucky, you end up replacing both. Ends up costing you more than a fair set of coilovers. I went with BC, for $1000, but there's also KSport, which a lot of folks around here don't like, and I think TEIN makes some for $1600.

Rumors that Megan's is coming out with some soon, too, and that'll fall somewhere between KSport and BC, probably.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the suggestions. I checked BC's website and I didn't see the Altima listed. Which brings me to my next question. Are the chassis for the Infinity G35/G37 the same as the Altima? Would the suspension from one of those cars work on mine? If so, which one? The G35 or the G37?

I haven't seen special Altima Coupe coilovers listed anywhere, but I bought and used the 07+ Altima coilovers, and they fit fine.

Try this website.

I know that feeling. That's why I don't have an intake yet.

Reminds me - I haven't paid yet this month.
