You know, it's kinda weird in that we don't get many Hybrid owners at this point. Not sure why but I'm sure they will start gathering at some point

Welcome aboard. You are a rare member on here (and other forums too). Seems not many hybrid owners hit forums much.

Just bought my Hybrid on Saturday after owning a Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4. I went from averaging 7 MPG (I have a heavy foot) to 35 MPG. I'm sure the Altima Hybrid won't be able to get the same gas mileage as the Prius, but sure would smoke it on the street.

I thought I should chime in also. Long time and still a Q45 (G50) owner, but as of Memorial Day weekend I am the proud owner of a Altima Hybrid also. What a difference from 17mpg to 36mpg. Hit 1000 miles and still on my second tank of gas.. I am loving the car but certainly miss the V8. But that is why I take the old Q45 out for two days a week.

Welcome to NICO. I'd love to see the hybrid guys start taking over this forum.

Just joined the forum today. Had the hybrid for over a year now and my girlfriend took it to the stealership to pay 90 dollars for an oil change. Decided to join to see if any hybrid owners do or have any write ups about doing it yourself? I spend most of my time on the 6speed forum but will be visiting this one on a daily basis. Hello all hybrid owners.

Welcome,

We seem to be a rare bunch here. I usually read up on everything in this forum and the Q45 section..

Well, I figured I'd chime in. I picked up my '08 Altima Hybrid in June, and so far it's been great. There are a few minor issues that bother me, but none are specific to the Hybrid. I bought this to allow myself to park my high mileage 4X4 truck and use it as an occasional use vehicle only (14 MPG on a 70 mile round trip commute... not cheap!). Now I'm getting 34-35 MPG in a very comfortable vehicle... definitely worth it!

Nice deal. Welcome to the forum Joe. Where did you get that deal. I am looking into buying another Altima Hybrid to take advantage of the cash for clunkers.

Read around here to find the best way take advantage of you MPGs.....

We just got a 2009 NAH back in May; had some starting issues just the next day. It took the dealer about a month and three attempts to fix all and haven't had any problems since then. I had a thread on it last month that is titled "low 12v voltage". We are getting 32-33 mpg on the hi-way and best of 28 in the city with the A/C on. The car is fine, although its no Maxima, but we will probably not keep it after the lease is up. I personally don't think the extra dollars for the hybrid is worth it. Other than that the car is what I expected. A great car.

Just purchased a 2007 NAH. So far I love the car. I'm still learning how to get the most out of the hybrid, but I like the extra power available over the other hybrids.

I need to get some snow tires for the upstate NY winters and a ski rack. The no passthru is a little inconvienent, but I can deal with it.

Welcome nomoguls,

You are going to love this car. I have about 25K miles on my 2008 and loving it. I just clunkered my Q45 for a 2010 Prius but the Altima Hybrid is so much more fun to drive. The handling and power is much welcome for me after a couple of days with the prius. Just search around here and google hypermiing to learn some basic tips on driving your Hybrid. Just be practice at it and in no time you will be getting about 35mpg.

Chan
