What's this part called? [PIC] thanks...

can u guys tell me what this part is called?



thanks. my front right one of these is kinda broken, its not broken totally, but its not tight. i think theres some type of berring on the inner part of the part thats loose inside. thanks everyone, if anyone knows anyone who can sell this part to me, im located in socal. email me.

That would be an outer tie rod, but it sounds like you need an inner tie rod. I would probably just go down to my local Kragen and pick one up unless you want a mad, JDM-tyte, D1 drift-spec hardcore unit.

thanks! yea i still dont know which one i need outer or inner. thanks for the info ill look into it more.

the inner part closer to the rack is the inner tie rod.outside that bolts to the spindle is the outer tie rod.

if something is loose and wiggly on the tie rods, open up your rubber boots and check for play within where the inner rod bolts to the rack.. there should be a locking jaw type deal with 4 faces clamped on the inner tie rod.

if those are o-k, its your outer tie rods.. bushings tend to go bad.iirc you can either just buy polyurethane bushings for the tie rods or buy new outer t/r.

teins are supposed to be simliar to oem but a little thicker or something..you could probably go with an autozone brand, if you dont need adjustments to cope with bumpsteer and such.
