I'm not sure what the name of this part is. I spray it with carb cleaner and the idle really speeds up. How hard are they to replace? Bye the way, this is located at the rear of the intake manifold?

That looks like the swirl control valve.

Mine has a fat vacuum leak as well, the valve won't hold any vacuum with, same with a vacuum gun.

Gonna have to remove the manifold =)

It's junk take it off along with all the emissions stuff unless you have emission regulations.

That's what I was afraid of, I really didn't want to take the manifold off.

Thanks for the replies though,

Nothing to do with emissions. Just cause it's a vac related doesn't mean it's to reduce emissions. I bet you're the type of guy who deletes the EVAP system just cause it looks messy and that you don't know how it works and sticks a bolt in the EVAP outlet hose from the tank.

Keep it, unless you wanna lose some low end partial throttle torque.

I got the manifold off, lot of stuff connected to that thing. The dealer ship said they can have the SCT Valve in three days, I'll let you guys know how it goes.
