What's the worst thing it can happen if I installed the CAI wrong?

I finally got it today and I can't wait to install it.The instructions that came with the CAI seems pretty clear but with me there's always room for error, since I have no mechanical background.

You could screw up the MAF. Just be careful with it and you should be fine.

I hate to say it, but there really is only one way to install it. The directions are pretty straight forward.

I know there's only one way but lets say I forgot to tighten the gasp or something like that. Thanks!
