What's the widest tires size you can put on a B16?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hello everyone, does anyone knows the widest possible tires i can put on my B16? Something that goes flush with the widest side of the fender!I was thinking somthing like 245/45/R18. Any ideas?

You go go bigger than those. If you want to take a look at fit, you should know the B16 has the same fit as the 350z. I am looking at 19, 10's

Im goin for the work emotion xd9's. my problem is its 18" by 8" with a +45 offset, and my car will have a 2" drop so im not sure if i should go for a 215/40/18 or stick with a 225/40/18 tire?

well our fenders are rolled from the factory so you can do a pretty wide tire and not worry to much.. my buddy has a mustang with a set of 20's on it with the same lug pattern so ill throw them on and take a pic and show you i am dropped on the sportlines so will see what happens.. and i think they are 10 in wide .. so who knows ill take a pic and post it for ya

hes running a 275 35 20

Thanks for the info, I didn't know the B16 & 350z have the same wheel space! Let me ask you; are you dropping your B16? Or just putting on 19'X10? Can you turn with the same ease as with the 17'X8?

Hey Man... The Plan is to drop then put on the new tires. Should be a good fit, but I really dont like the shape of the tire well and may look at doing some custom.

There really isn't any benefit to going wider than 235 on a FWD street car. Look at tire prices for 215, then 225 and then 235. They get DRASTICALLY more expensive the wider you go and then you're wasting money for a loss of performance.

The heavier tire will slow the car down and it will throw your speedometer off as well. You won't be able to tell a difference between 215 and 235 to be honest. At this stage you're better off learning how to drive your car to it's limits.

I'm dropped on 1.5" with 225/45/18 on an 18x8 wheel. I have the perfect wheel gap and the perfect balance of performance and comfort. If I load my car up I'm borderline rubbing so keep that in mind if you whore your friends around a lot.

If you wanna throw money away though, I know a paypal account that would gladly accept it.

Well said, Godofelru

I have noticed from all your previous posts that you seem to have found the perfect balance of performance mods, looks and stock without going overboard.

I call BS on having the same room as a 350Z. No way. They're definitely wider than previous Sentras, but, especially in the front, there's just no way you guys can fit anything too outrageous. Remember that bolt patterns are far from the biggest factor in wheel fitment.

Also remember that this is entirely dependent on having the correct offset. I'd imagine a +40 or so would give you guys room for a 235, but beyond that is unlikely.

This is crazy and it's not even RWD.

I don't remember exactly what my offset is but you can look it up. It's just the basic altima se-r wheels. I think they're +40 give or take 5.

Thanks for the compliment, I try to do what I can.
