First the facts.

I have a 92 240sx convertible. I have stock 4 lug and stock suspension.I don't plan on autox or drag racing.I do plan on having some fun on the back roads/cruising/etc.

I found a set of Rota Subzero's with Fusion ZRi tires. The wheels are 17x7.5. The tires are 215 45 17s.I beleive the offset is 45mm.They are bronze in color which should go nice with my black car.

My questions... They are from a FWD B15 Sentra. I am a total noob for asking... but, does that matter that they are for FWD car? I hear people mention that, but never really give the reason.

Next question... I have heard that Subzero's have broken in autox.. I don't plan to autox, but will that reputation make them hard to resell?

Last question... With the 45 offset... if I ever plan to go with coilovers or brake upgrade, etc... will I need spacers? How big?

thanks everyone!!!

they say fwd because of the high offsets. they wont look too bad but will be sunken in some.

rota has a bad name performance wise. they are cheap for a reason.

to clear coilovers you will need a 5-10mm spacer most likely.

i say dont bother with those, you want wheels with a 30 or below offset to look decent IMHO. rotas are generally on hondas (fwd offset, no disrespect to hondas)

Ahh.. I see what you are saying.

It's just so hard to find nice wheels with low offsets in 4 lug. It sucks!!!

The deal is.. his 4 rotas plus almost brand new tires (says 2k miles) for my stock S13 wheels with bad tires and $350 cash.

I think the tires are worth the $350 alone.

OH... I just thought of something... .I don't think the s13 stock alloys will fit on his Sentra... they are only 20mm offset I think?

Thanks for the info guys. I appreciate it.. I think I will keep looking.

the older subzeros had problems due to the spoke design from what I read, but Rota has fixed that, and other than the subzero thing, Rota's reputation has been great amongst Honda autoX crowds, lightweight and relatively strong wheels. Honestly any decent quality cast wheel for your purpose will do, here are some suggestions:http://www.autornd.com has custom Rotas in RWD offsets/sizes, they're a lil more expensive than regular rotas but the cost of regular Rotas + spacers will amount to be the same.http://www.teamdynamicsracing.com has a wholllee selection of offsets in various sizes, they're based in UK so you'd probably wanna call the USA branch first. FYI TD has a stellar rep amongst Miata crowd, lightweight and strong cast wheels.

I had the Subzeros on my Prelude for about 2 1/2 years and have no complaints. They looked decent, were relatively lightweight (16lbs for a 17" wheel) and I could fit 235 with tires on them. But they're right...you need an offset at least 10mm less.
