1 full tank of gas, I run it till the gas light comes on, I get 432 miles exactly. After I fill it up, I filled 14.88 gallon. 432/14.88 = 29.032 miles per gallon.

This is extremely conservate driving, meaning changing gear at about 2800rpm, always go about 65 miles per hour on highway and accelerate slow like a damn turtle while shaking my foot and have people honk behind me like a MF so I don't waste extra gas.

This is also about 1/3 of city driving and 2/3 of highway. 90% of the time there is second passenge in the car and he weights 180lb I weight 130lb.

After all this "hard work" I managed to squeeze out 29 miles per gallon on my 6.5PSI 190WHP 97 240sx KA-T.

My goal - trying to get 30MPG with or without that passenger.

Question - What is the MPG on your KA-T? Do some testing and show us the result.......

Freeway pulls (I mean full power pulls), around town driving and a lil' bit of just casual 55-60 cruising came out to 26.7 mpg today. The boost pulls were at 17 psi on 75lb injectors. It's all in the tune lol.

i was still getting 20mpg at 15psi driving with a decent amount of boost and around town. once you start boosting high is when your milage goes to poo

when i was riding around at 9-13psi i was getting 300miles always to a tank and 350+ if i had some highway miles

I get 23-MPG most the time... I get into boost quite a bit. I always try to hit the speed limit quickly. (When driving alone)

I did a special "highway tune" on my emanage. Got 33.6mph going 90mph for 350 miles straight.

im curious as to what type of fuel managment you 25+mpg guys are using vs the others. a safc doesn't tune by load, correct?

When I was breaking the engine in, I got 25 mpg, which is pretty respectable considering I'm using JWT's notoriously rich tune of 50 lb fuel injectors/cobra MAFS.

I didn't stay out of boost either when doing this....but I also didn't go past 6 psi.

I am using the JWT ECU with an SAFCII tune by me. And you are correct.

I pulled off around 24mpg w/ 2 leaky injectors and no tuning whatsoever. I replaced my leaky injectors this weekend and filled up so we'll see what I can get now.

(i'm sure it would help if I recirculated my bov, installed the SAFC II I purchased and did some tuning, and that MSD 6T I have laying around could help but I need some more parts before I can use them so the mileage will just have to suffer for now.)

I used to get around 20 mpg average, running 13 psi daily on boost fairly often from a 50 trim t3/t4. I get about 18 now from my SR running 15 psi, but I drive alot more in the streets now.

Only had 1 tank and got to 300miles. Boosted for a solid 85miles out of 150 miles. The other 150 was slow down, stop, boost, brake, non-stop.

You guys all suck!

I get around 8-12 mpg whenver/whereever/however i drive. Minimum boost is 20psi. I also have a decel a/f of 11's:1...I guess thats what 1600cc injectors will do. Time for me to buy a Kia! hahaha, c-16 gets expensive when you run it 100% of the time.

Do any of you know what kind of light-load 65mph cruising a/f's youre getting?

Me to. 14.5ish cruising light load. t40b/t3, 50#, z32 mafs, jwt ecu, 9.5:1. I am averaging around 300+ city and closer to 400 highway.

It looks like your CAR sucks........ a lot of gas. :p

Cruising at 65mph, mine stays pretty stoich, but if I start cruising at 70+, the afr stays at a rich 12:1, even though I'm getting 10 vacuum. Needless to say, I don't go over 65mph unless I get a massive car boner.

LOL...Its the price I pay for having a 600hp KA

Even when I was only making 350 I still didnt get too great of gas mileage.

its probably running off a map all the time instead of using o2 feedback thats killing his mpg. if you really wanted to, you could go a full tank without ever switching to open loop, you may have a lot of pissed off drivers behind you, but it can be done.

I generally pulled an average of abut 15 mpg on my KA. Most of my highway driving was in traffic, but on long trips 24 mpg was fairly easy to achieve even with a few hard pulls here and there. I ran a T04B at just under 7 psi. Keep in mind, for cruising mpg can be affected by turbo size. Smaller turbos tend to run at better efficiency under the airflow of everyday use. Large turbos will run at lower efficiencies. It shouldn't be a huge difference, but it can add up quickly. The way you drive will have a bigger effect on this. As a comparison, my G35 is averaging about 16 mpg with the same type of driving. The power level is about the same.

I usually get about 250 miles per tank in my 91 running 6 psi. But I don't spend that much time on the freeway, it's pretty much all city driving/"spirited" driving.
