Hi everyone,

I disconnected my battery ~6 months ago and just today learned that it cleared the ECU's ability to read out for emissions testing. The inspection came back as "not ready". So, I've searched for 2011 Nissan Pathfinder drive cycle, and any other 2011 Nissan, but all I can find is a random reference to an Xterra on smogtips.com. It's ridiculous and I have a hard time believing it's that complex.

I only drive the vehicle once a week for about 20 miles. However, since disconnecting the battery, I drove it for 3 days and about 500 miles on a road trip.

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE REAL DEAL HOLYFIELD DRIVE CYCLE FOR AN '11 PF?!

It's really not as complicated as some of the instructions imply; unless it's an older BMW or Mercedes. The most important first step you need to take is have an OBD scan tool plugged in while you're on the drive as it will give you real time info on the status of each monitor. That said, one of the most important first steps to follow is the warm-up cycle to test the heated O2 sensor. Usually this means three minutes of idling at start up with the AC/Defrost/headlights all on to draw maximum current. Second, drive at least 3-4 minutes at about 30 mph. Third, you need to get on an open freeway and accelerate from approx. 3/4 pedal until you get it at moderate, steady freeway speed (60MPH) and hold it there for at least 20 minutes to heat up the catalysts. This will work in 90% of all cases. One last note - in most states you only have to clear 8 out of the 9 monitors to meet the requirements.
