You left a lot out on the brands, you just got what Best Buy, Circuit City and Hi Fi carry, theres much more out there. Anyways,

I'm redoing my system as we speak, I want something for a show setup up, and sound, I gonna run all Audiobahn, I'm gonna use their DVD TV new Head unit, manufactured by Eclipse, run their Q Series 6.5 Components in the front, nothing in the rear, and I haven't decided on which subs to use, but I'm gonna run their Hi-Current amps.

I've ran all Pioneer, Bostwick, Alpine, Blaupunkt, Coustic, PPI, Kenwood, Eclipse, Kove, Cadence, ESX, JL, MA, Focal, Lanzar, Fusion, Sony, and Crossfire full speaker and amp setups in my cars before, and I have always been much happier with the smaller companies that you can't find in the top 3 electronics stores. The companies listed in your survey above make great Headunits, but you can find so much better speakers and amps with these small companies.

it looks like you can only put in 12 options for car audio brands in the polls to vote on... I have a different brand for everything..CD Player - ClarionComponents - InfinityComponents Amp - Precision PowerSubs - EclipseSub Amp - JBL

When it came out... it was the pimp daddy amp. I really like it besides the fact that the crossover knob/screw in the amp is really vague. It always performs well and never shuts down on me. I would rather have a PPI PC 1800 (monoblock 800w) just to match my PC 4800, but at the time, it was the only way to go... especially if you didnt want to put a high current amp like an Orion HCCA that needed a severely low impedance to get the maxx out of it. So to answer your question... yup. I think it sounds great on my Eclipse Aluminum 12's and I see no need to get rid of it.

Love my Kenwood head units. Been using em for so long I can't remember what I had before. The oldest piece in my car is a big blue old Jensen 100wx4 amp I use on my highs. Sounds great. Besides bass amps, where power delivery is a key, as long as your getting a good clean signal to the amp, it's all good. Save your money for some really good speakers and wires.

i voted Eclipse, even though i only have their deck... it was a tough choice between my CDT components and my Eclipse as the most "dominant" component of my system, but without the deck, there would be no sound :D but it's also a pre-out only deck, which makes me feel as though the clarity of the music is because of it...

my buddy finally got his whole system hooked up with his Focal Polykevlar 3-way components, and Dynaudio 8's which are all in his custom doors... personally, the only thing i liked better about his, than my CDT's, was the bass that they put out, but i didn't like the harshness of the metal dome tweeter, even though it's the Utopia TN-51... he's also runnin an Alpine 7995, but he hasn't had time to mess around with the time correction yet, so they'll prolly sound much better then, but i paid 1/3 of the price that he paid for his focals so i got the better deal by far...

It's hard to find Nakamichi stuff nowadays, not the best with cosmetics, but very nice units.
