Hi,

Due to unforseen circumstances I am forced to look for a new ride...my truck was stolen on Friday, and I am sure it is going to be trashed when they find it.

The car I am looking into getting, or course, is an S14 240sx. I have seen a few that I like and have decided for sure I want one but do not know exactly which one to get. I have found two that I like, a tan 96 SE and a grey 96 standard. I am trying to figure out what is the difference in these two models. All I have been able to see is that the SE has leather and a sunroof, while the other has cloth. Are there any other main differences in these cars? I have every intention of making it a KA24DE-T performer, both in engine and suspension.

a.) are there any differences in the engine/transmission?b.) are there any differences in the drivetrain?c.) are there any suspension differences?

These are the main three that I am looking at. Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Plus anything else that I haven't mentioned that you feel I should know about these cars will also be appreciated.

Thanks,Jason

a.) nob.) some SE's come with VLSD (vicous limited slip differencial)c.) SE's have stock front and rear sway bars, SE's also have nice16x6.5" wheels over the base models 15" wheels with ugly hub caps

one other difference is that SE's have a 5 lug hub. this just gives u more choices in wheels and can make brake up grades slightly easier. just thought of another oone, white face guages, nothin for performance but they look nice

anything i miss?

You need to check for the lsd for sure if you want to go turbo. I'm pretty sure the only way that the 240 came with a lsd is if you get ABS, which in my opinion sucks. If you don't have lsd you can swap one and just plug the sensor whole on the rear end. You will want to make sure that you have the 5 lug setup as well, you'll want to do a 300zx brake swap cause it just makes your car look damn cool.
