What's the difference between new model B&M short shifter and old model?

What's the difference between new model B&M short shifter and old model? The old model that came with the knob and the new model that does not include the shift knob.

the new one is supposed to not vibrate as much as the old one. i do not know if that is the only change or not but thats all ive heard.

That's the difference...at least from what I've read.

They found the knob created 90% of the noise, and when the shifter was used with a stock knob it was hardly noticable...so they stopped selling it with a knob.
