Now that I've got your attention, do you know how to tell the differences between an s13 chuki black top and an s13 kouki black top besides the ecu?

There is random crap to check. The Kouki S13 SR has the following that the 94-96 does not:S14 Alternator part number 23100-65F17. If it reads anything like 23100-52F** then its a middle gen.S14 transmission, S14 clutch disk and pressure plate. If you can find the pressure plate part number and it says 30210-40U05, or 40U** then its an S13 SR made in December 1998. To get a general idea of when the SR was made take out a coilpack and look at it, the dates they were made are on the stems of the packs, they are marked 12 times a year, once per month, just count and see when the last stamp was.The MAFS also has a harder to read production stamp if you have access to it. And the recirc valves on kouki's had a mirrored sticker instead of a stamp (cant remember the accuracy of this one).

Theres other crap that I cant remember, but check the alternator and coilpacks, they should give enough info.
