I've heard people say it makes them overheat and it helps out alot and all sorts of conflicting shiet. I deliver pizzas..so that means i sit in a lot of traffic and i was wondering if i got some dual 12" electric fans from enjuku, if i'd end up overheating. that's all i'm really worried about, cause it gets hot here.

i do believe whoever said the fans would make the car overheat is retarded. id buy them if youre worried about the car running too hot.

It only overheats if you install it incorrectly. IE, with strain on the wires, eventually the connectors will fall off due to the amount of current and heat that it is exposed to and the fans will not come on.

Install it PROPERLY and you won't have a problem.

I've had mine for about a year now and no problems.

When you guys install the dual electric fans are you removing the mechanical fan on the motor, and if so are there any problems?

no point in having the belt driven fan if you're dropping some electrics in. Unless you mess up the installation of your new fans, there should be no problems and you'll probably enjoy the new 4 or 5 inches of clearance you just gained.

I heard 40 bucks at your regular auto parts store and they work just fine. No point in spending $$$$ on some fancy, costly, fan. I have yet to try.

I'm curious...what do you guys do for fan shrouds? I've read a variety of different solutions, none of them particularly appealing to me. I'd imagine that the shroud plays a big part in getting the air where you want it to go and keeping the engine nice and cool.

if i get some fans, i'm gonna just take the shroud off. it's really only there to guide the air the clutch fan is pulling, since it doesn't sit right up next to the radiator.
