Last week, a 10 inch diameter boulder fell off the pick up in front of me and I rolled right over it. It put a dent in my oil pan, some backets, the cat converter and other dings, mostly cosmetic.

My insurance company called me and said that they are waiting for parts that are being shipped except the Oil pan.

Apparently, Nissan hasn't put the oil pan in production yet and there's no telling when they will.

The mechanic said that the damage to the oil pan is cosmetic and there are no breaks in the seal or any leaks so they are going to fix the rest and call me back in whenever they can get an oil pan.

This sucks!

at least it's cosmetic. Be glad it isn't a leak or something.

On a side note, I would be hella pissedddd if that happened to me because I just switched my oil to full synthetic two days ago...man.

hey, uhm... try emailing scott@westcovinanissan.. at least to verify this is true or not. That just doesn't sound right, the car has been in production for over a year.
