what's the best way to ship an exhaust system?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to have an exhaust system shipped from San Jose California all the way to Northern Virginia (very close to DC) . I know that I'm literally shipping it across the country but I was wondering what do the rest of you guys do when you ship your exhaust systems? What's the cheapest method? I also need to have the exhaust packed, so a place that can pack and ship for a good price would be perfect. Please let me now. Thank you!

I shipped a mid-pipe across the country via Fed-Ex. I've found them to be much cheaper than UPS. I only had to wrapped the ends.
